By the consecration the transubstantiation of the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ is brought about. Under the consecrated species of bread and wine Christ himself, living and glorious, is present in a true, real, and substantial manner: his Body and his Blood, with his soul and his divinity. We warmly welcome children who wish to prepare to receive the Eucharist for the first time. Most children do this in the spring of their 2nd grade year. Our diocese requires two years of preparation for this event. These can be completed in our regular Faith Formation Program. Visit Faith Formation to learn more or email Maribel or call the office.
For information regarding adult preparation for the reception of the Eucharist, please visit On Becoming Catholic to learn more and complete the registration form to enroll in the adult formation program.
