Recall the words of Our Lord, ” Amen I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” [Mt. 18:19]
Please join the people of Saint Anne, in cooperation with Bishop Parkes and other parishes within our diocese as we offer prayer and penance as a means of spiritual support to the victims whose lives have been irreparably harmed by the heinous crimes committed against them. In addition we invoke the guidance of the Holy Spirit going forward as actions are taken to ensure that this abuse, and the cover-up of abuse, never happens again.
We encourage all families, groups and ministries to make time to prayer together publicly for this intention.
Possibilities for this prayer could include, but not limited to:
- Mass[es] of Reparation
- Holy hour with the specific intention of healing for victims
- Rosary for Healing and Protection
- Stations of the Cross [Mary’s Way of the Cross”]
- Chaplet of Divine Mercy
- Designated days of fasting and penance
- Prayer for Healing and Reparation
- Novena to Our Lady of Hope
- Novena to Our Lady of Sorrows
- Prayer to St. Michael
Here you will find a list of scheduled prayer. Please know that you are welcome to come and pray. If you and your ministry wish to sponsor a prayer time contact Linda in the parish office.
